Eng. Dimitar Dimitrov is an entrepreneur, founder, and owner of Ardes.bg – one of the leading specialized IT equipment companies in Bulgaria, with over 150 employees.

He established Ardes in 1996, while still a student. The company began as a small business for sales and service of computer equipment, and today it operates as a national brand with physical stores, a strong online presence, corporate sales, an in-house service center, and hundreds of thousands of monthly visitors to Ardes.bg. The company’s online history dates back to 1999, when Ardes.bg was among the first specialized computer equipment websites in Bulgaria.

Over nearly 30 years, Dimitar Dimitrov has navigated virtually every stage of business development – from the entrepreneurial start and team building to managing a large-scale organization, building a recognizable brand, and competing in one of the most dynamic and price-sensitive markets.

In 2025, he was a finalist in the national "Manager of the Year" competition and received the Special Award for Contribution to Regional Development.

A significant part of his work is focused on education and the development of young people. He is one of the initiators of the "Share and Inspire" association, participates in joint business and education initiatives, and delivers lectures to school students, university students, teachers, and business audiences.

In 2021, Technical University – Varna awarded him the honorary degree of Doctor Honoris Causa for his contribution to the university's development.

In his public appearances, Dimitar Dimitrov speaks from real entrepreneurial experience – about building a brand that must survive and grow for decades; about customer trust; about leadership; about mistakes, change, and the necessity for business to continuously adapt.
